Takashi Nishimura

When I want to draw I pick up my pen, and when I want to photograph I take up my camera. To start with, that’s all I need to know to be content. From there I take my ideas as they come to me, one by one, and give them shape under the sway of a great mix of coincidences, inevitabilities, and possibilities.

This is one of my favorite contemporary photographers. Please visit his great website. You don’t even need to translate to enjoy. (Assuming you aren’t already fluent in Japanese.)

And no Flash, photographers. No Flash. Please take note.
